Another great sunny afternoon,  about three thousand people, and eleven great musical acts. From single folk singers to indie pop bands and everything in between the Chestermere Water Festival was free alternative to the Calgary Folk festival, with lots of other family friendly activities besides the summer music showcase.

One Foot Party performed three sets,  a slinky afternoon blues,  some country rock for supper and brought on the night with some great classic rock and roll. One Foot played the songs from their new EP “Never too old to Rock & Roll” as well as several other originals that are in pre-production phase for a full length album.

Our second EP,  “never too old to rock & roll”, was officially released at the Chestermere Water Festival.  While  it appears our sense of humor is intact, there is a bit of a message between the laughs as well.

Welcome to the new 1 Foot Party Website!!

About half way through the New Year’s eve gig we suddenly realized that this band, in one form or another, has been around for ten years now.

Since 2008, the start of the monthly Lakeside Green’s Open Mic nights,  the core line up of the the Leece brothers and Burke Dewar has not changed. Still working on the spontaniously combusting drummer problem though!

Check out the alumni pages for all the great friends who have sat in with us for a song, a set, a gig, or more.  It’s been a blast and we’ll do it again.

We are back in the studio working on a new record, and some of the members are moonlighting in other bands but give us a call, we’d love to come play some music at your next party, whether it’s a surprise birthday, a regular Saturday night at the pub or a fund raising dance.

Check out the music and video page for more details on how 1 foot could fit the bill for your entertainment.
